LTCi Quotes for Glenn

Glenn,

Your revised long-term care insurance quotes are ready.

First, please watch this short video I made for you:

🔎 Your quotes

I've provided three traditional quotes from different carriers, each with an initial benefit of $300 per day and roughly 5 years of benefits.

💡
Should you shop around? You can—but your quotes will be the same everywhere. Long-term care insurance prices are set by the insurance companies, not by brokers. We offer all the top policies and help you find the best fit.

🧐 My notes

All three options are priced at nearly the same premium. Because each insurer may evaluate your health differently, the pre-screen results should help clarify which option is the best fit. Below are a few additional distinctions to consider.

Option A: Mutual of Omaha
Mutual of Omaha limits the maximum initial benefit pool to $500,000, so the total benefit pool would be somewhat lower than under the other two options. Mutual of Omaha has also had a greater history of premium increases than the other carriers shown.

Option B: Thrivent
To apply with Thrivent, you must first qualify for membership by affirming either, “I am a Christian seeking to live out my faith,” or, “I am the spouse of a Christian who seeks to live out his or her faith.” Thrivent also uses a 90-day elimination period based on service days, meaning only days on which you receive covered care count toward the waiting period.

Option C: NGL
NGL has not increased premiums on this product to date. Like Thrivent, however, it uses a 90-day service-day elimination period, which can take longer to satisfy if care is received only a few days per week.

You can also adjust the benefit amount to better fit your budget. For example, reducing the premium by 25% would generally reduce the benefits by approximately the same percentage.

👉🏻 Next steps

Complete this longer health pre-screen form (15 minutes) for more clarity on your options. I’ll share your answers with insurers without your name attached to get informal feedback. This helps identify which policy is the best fit and avoids the risk of a formal decline.

Thanks,
Jesse
