Kelly,
Your revised long-term care insurance quotes are ready.
First, please watch this short video first that I made specifically for you:
🔎 Your quotes
I’ve provided three quotes, each with an initial benefit of $4,500 per month. With all three policies, your premium is guaranteed never to increase.
🧐 My notes
All three options are strong and include a death benefit for your heirs if you never need long-term care.
Option A: This Lincoln Financial policy provides three years of benefits. You can receive reimbursement for eligible care expenses or choose a cash benefit equal to 80% of the full monthly benefit. Premium payments end after 10 years.
Option B: This Nationwide policy also provides three years of benefits, paid entirely in cash. Premiums are payable until age 100.
Option C: This Nationwide policy is structured like Option B but provides six years of benefits instead of three.
The monthly benefit is lower than the projected cost of care in Massachusetts, so you may need to supplement the policy with personal savings, income, or Social Security. For most people, the goal is not to insure every dollar of future care costs, but to create meaningful coverage that protects a substantial portion of their assets.
Premiums
The benefit amount can also be adjusted to fit your preferred premium. For example, reducing the premium by approximately 25% would generally reduce the corresponding benefits by a similar percentage.
You can also reduce the length of your premium (e.g., 5 years instead of 10). This will increase your monthly payment, but reduce your overall cost.
👉🏻 Next steps
Schedule time on my calendar to review these options together.
If you don't need a call, complete this longer health pre-screen form (15 minutes). I’ll share your answers with insurers without your name attached to get informal feedback. This helps identify which policy is the best fit and avoids the risk of a formal decline.
Thanks,
Jesse
