As discussed, I’ve provided three quotes for traditional policies with different benefit periods. Each includes $4,500/month in initial benefits with 3% annual growth, designed to supplement your current income and assets.

Should you shop around? You can—but your quotes will be the same everywhere. Long-term care insurance prices are set by the insurance companies, not by brokers. We offer all the top policies and help you find the best fit.

🧐 My notes

If you compare Options A and B, you’ll see that NGL is meaningfully less expensive than Mutual of Omaha. Comparing Options B and C shows a higher premium in exchange for longer coverage and greater total benefits.

Both policies have the ability to raise premiums. NGL guarantees the current rate for the first five years. They’ve been offering long-term care insurance since 2016 and have not implemented rate increases to date.

My take: I would lean toward Option C. The premium increase is modest, and it provides roughly an additional $200k in projected benefits by age 80, which better supports longer-duration care needs such as Alzheimer’s that we discussed.

If you'd like to adjust your annual benefits, you can adjust your premium—your benefits will change proportionally (e.g., by 25%).

Schedule time on my calendar to review these options together.

If you don't need a call, complete this longer health pre-screen form (15 minutes). I’ll share your answers with insurers without your name attached to get informal feedback. This helps identify which policy is the best fit and avoids the risk of a formal decline.

Thanks,
Jesse
