Jeff,
Your revised long-term care insurance quotes are ready.
š Revised quotes
Iāve included three quotes, each with payments of $10k/yr for 10 years and 5-year benefit periods.
š§ My notes
All three options are strong and include a return of premium feature, so if care is never needed, your spouse, children, or heirs receive an amount close to what was paid in.
- Option A: The Lincoln MoneyGuard quotes are structured as reimbursement benefits (you submit receipts). If you elect cash instead, the benefit is reduced to 80% of the stated amount.
- Option B: Securian offers the lowest cost for full cash indemnity LTC benefits.
- Option C: Nationwide is similar to Securian in offering cash benefits, but at a higher cost.
My thoughts: If your priority is maximizing total LTC benefits regardless of how they are paid, Option A stands out. If you prefer full cash benefits for maximum flexibility, Option B is the most cost-efficient.
If youād like to adjust the annual benefit, you can scale the premium up or down, and the benefits will change proportionally (for example, a 25% adjustment).
šš» Next steps
Schedule time on my calendar to review these options together.
If you don't need a call, complete this longer health pre-screen form (10 minutes). Iāll share your answers with insurers without your name attached to get informal feedback. This helps identify which policy is the best fit and avoids the risk of a formal decline. Your initial pre-screen looks good, but itās always worth completing this step.
Thanks,
Jesse
