Michael and Susanne,
Your long-term care insurance quotes are ready.
First, please watch this short video I made for you:
🔎 Your quotes
For an apples-to-apples comparison, these quotes have the same initial monthly benefit.
🧐 My notes
All three options are joint policies and strong options.
Option A: NGL HonestLTC covers you each for three years with separate benefit pools and reimburses eligible care expenses. It has the lowest monthly premium in this comparison, and its lifetime premiums can increase after five years.
Option B: Nationwide CareMatters Together covers both of you with six years of shared benefits and pays benefits in cash. Its monthly premium is higher than Option A, and the policy includes a death benefit if care is not needed. Premiums cannot increase.
Option C: The same as Option B, but offers eight years of shared benefits for a higher monthly premium.
Options B and C offer multiple alternative payment schedules, such as payments over 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, etc.
Compare these benefits with projected care costs and the personal savings or other income you would want to use toward care.
You can also adjust the benefit amount to fit your budget. For example, reducing the premium by 25% would generally reduce the benefits proportionally.
👉🏻 Next steps
Reply to my email or text with feedback or schedule time on my calendar to review these options together.
Alternatively, complete this longer health pre-screen form (10 minutes) for more clarity on your options. I’ll share your answers with insurers without your name attached to get informal feedback. This helps identify which policy is the best fit and avoids the risk of a formal decline.
Thanks,
Jesse
