Brian,
Thanks for your feedback. Your revised long-term care insurance quotes are ready.
🔁 Revised quotes
I’ve provided four traditional LTCi quotes from top insurers, each with $4,500/month initial benefits. This is slightly higher than the prior quotes, but a more common benefit level chosen by applicants.
🧐 My notes
Options A, B, and C are identical in benefits, so I would recommend NGL (option C) among those three because it has the lowest premium. NGL also has not increased premiums to date and guarantees your premium for five years.
I added Option D to show how the premium and total benefits change if you extend the benefit period to six years.
Your $4,500/month initial benefit is lower than current care costs in Massachusetts, but many people use personal savings, Social Security, or other income to bridge that gap. For most applicants, the goal is meaningful coverage, not necessarily paying every dollar of care costs.
If you’d like to adjust the monthly benefit, we can do that. The premium and benefits generally move proportionally. For example, reducing the benefit by 25% would also reduce the premium by roughly 25%.
👉🏻 Next steps
Schedule time on my calendar to review these options together.
If you don't need a call, complete this longer health pre-screen form (15 minutes). Include the date of your cortisone shot. I’ll share your answers with insurers without your name attached to get informal feedback. This helps identify which policy is the best fit and avoids the risk of a formal decline.
Thanks,
Jesse
