LTCi Quotes for Karl

Karl,

Thanks for speaking with me. Your long-term care insurance quotes are ready.

Please watch this short video first:

๐Ÿ”Ž Your quotes

Iโ€™ve provided three quotes, each with an initial monthly benefit of $5,100, to make the options easier to compare side by side.

Below are alternative payment schedules for Option B, Nationwide CareMatters. The monthly premium is approximately one-twelfth of the annual premium.

With the 10-pay option (e.g., pay for ten years and then stop), your total premiums would be $108,012. If you never need care, the policy would return $122,400, which is more than the total amount you paid.

๐Ÿง My notes

Consider this first round of quotes a starting point. I can revise any of the options based on the premium, benefit amount, benefit period, or payment schedule you prefer.

Option A: NGL
This traditional policy offers the lowest premium. NGL has never increased rates on this policy, although it retains the right to raise your premium after the first five years.

Option B: Nationwide CareMatters
This hybrid policy has a higher premium, but the premium is guaranteed never to increase. Benefits are paid in cash, which gives you more flexibility in how they are used. The policy also provides a benefit to your heirs if you never need care.

Option C: Securian SecureCare
This hybrid policy is similar to Option B, but it provides four years of benefits instead of three, resulting in a larger total benefit pool. Premium payments also end after 15 years.

The benefit amounts can be adjusted up or down, with premiums changing proportionally. For example, reducing the monthly benefit by 25% would generally reduce the premium by approximately 25%.

My initial recommendation: If keeping the premium as low as possible is the priority, I would choose Option A. If you prefer cash benefits, guaranteed premiums, and a benefit for your heirs, I would choose Option B and use the shortest payment schedule that fits within your budget.

Schedule time on my calendar to review these options together or reply to email or text with feedback.

If you don't need a call, complete this longer health pre-screen form (15 minutes). Iโ€™ll share your answers with insurers without your name attached to get informal feedback. This helps identify which policy is the best fit and avoids the risk of a formal decline.

Thanks,
Jesse
