🔎 Your quotes
For an apples-to-apples comparison, I shared three quotes with a roughly $5,000/month initial benefit.
🧐 My notes
These options start near $5,000/month and differ in benefit growth, duration, payment method, and premiums.
Option A: NGL HonestLTC has the lowest premium and reimburses eligible care expenses. Its $5,100 starting monthly benefit has no inflation growth, and its lifetime premium can increase. This design has no death benefit for heirs.
Option B: Nationwide CareMatters II adds 3% annual benefit growth, benefits in cash, and a $120,000 face amount for heirs. Its premium is higher than NGL’s and continues to age 100.
Option C: Securian SecureCare IV extends the benefit period to six years and provides the largest initial total LTC benefit of these options. It pays benefits in cash, has a 20-year premium schedule, and has the highest premium.
Below are alternative annual payment schedules. “5-pay” means five annual payments. Monthly payments are typically slightly more than one-twelfth of the annual amount.
Compare these benefits with projected care costs and the personal savings or other income you would want to use toward care.
You can also adjust the benefit amount to fit your budget. For example, reducing the premium by 25% would generally reduce the benefits proportionally.
👉🏻 Next steps
Reply to my email or text with feedback or schedule time on my calendar to review these options together.
Alternatively, complete this longer health pre-screen form (10 minutes) for more clarity on your options. I’ll share your answers with insurers without your name attached to get informal feedback. This helps identify which policy is the best fit and avoids the risk of a formal decline.
Thanks,
Jesse
