LTCi Quotes for Winter W.

On this page

Winter,

Good news. Your long-term care (LTC) insurance quotes are ready. With limited info, I used these defaults for now: single, non-smoker, and a Colorado resident.

Why people choose LTC insurance:

  • Your family may not be able to become caregivers
  • Stay in control — at home or your preferred facility
  • Your savings deserve protection from care costs

🔧 How LTC insurance works

It's a little different from your home or auto insurance.

  • Pick your price for how much coverage you want.
  • Coverage stays in place forever, even after you’re paid up.
  • When you need benefits, coverage has monthly and total maximums.
  • Benefits grow to keep up with future care costs.

👀 First-look quotes

To start, I’ve provided quotes from three different policies with increasing costs.

📈 Graph of benefits

This graph shows how your projected benefits and LTC costs in Colorado if you needed care at age 80, but benefits can start at any time. Click any policy choice or line for more detail.

LTC costs in Colorado
Assisted-living in Colorado is projected to cost $313,000/year by age 80 (assuming 4% annual growth). But your policy doesn't have to cover everything. Assisted-living already includes housing and meals, and any steady income, like Social Security, can bridge the gap that your policy doesn't cover.

🧐 My notes

Based on your feedback of Yes to memory-care coverage and Yes to a refund, I’ve shown the following options.

  • Base: A simple, no-refund option. Every dollar you pay goes toward care, so your yearly benefit check is large, but Plus benefits look better (next).
  • Plus: Includes a refund for your family if you never end up needing care.
  • Cadillac: Gives you the refund and stretches your benefits to last longer. It’s designed to keep paying even if you need care for many years—like in Alzheimer’s.

👉🏻 Next steps

Just reply to my email with which label feels closest: Base, Plus, or Cadillac 😊 with any optional comments. I’ll fine-tune your quotes for your budget with specific details and related options.
