LTCi Quotes for Tom and Ellen W

On this page

Tom and Ellen,

It’s great to connect with a fellow Coloradan. I live in Lafayette, located between Boulder and Denver. 😀

I'm pleased to share three top LTC insurance quotes, carefully chosen based on your age, state, preferences, and current rates.

Why people choose LTC insurance:

❤️ Your family shouldn’t have to become full-time caregivers
💰 Your savings deserve protection from care costs
🧠 Stay in control — at home or the best facility

Graph of benefits

This graph shows how your benefits would compare to expected LTC costs in your state if you needed care at age 80. Click any policy name or line for more detail.

My notes

You mentioned wanting policies with longer benefits suited for memory care, along with refund options. I included OneAmerica, which offers lifetime benefits, and Nationwide, which provides 7 years of coverage. While the average need for long-term care is about 3 years, it can extend beyond 8 years for conditions like Alzheimer’s or dementia. For contrast, I added a Thrivent policy with 4 years of coverage and no refund, but you can share benefits with each other. All three are priced around $20,000 per year for 10 years, and I’ve included multiple payment options for flexibility.

LTC costs in Colorado
Your benefits are below projected LTC costs—but that doesn’t mean you’ll pay the difference out of pocket. Assisted living often includes housing and meals, replacing everyday expenses. Other income, like Social Security, or assets can help bridge the gap.
